In homage to sisterhood, SAC honors four Delta Dears

Homegoing Celebration – Soror Jane McGhee

Soror Jane McGhee has transitioned into Omega Omega Chapter. Her service was held Saturday, March 6 in Louisiana. Soror McGhee’s life was celebrated along with her husband James McGhee’s in a shared service. Mr. McGhee transitioned shortly after Soror McGhee’s passing. Soror McGhee loved Delta and worked hard to uphold the vision of our 22 Founders; sisterhood, scholarship and service.

In addition to being a Saginaw Alumnae Chapter Charter Member, Soror McGhee helped lay the Foundation of our Chapter. To fulfill her commitment to her “dear old Delta,” Soror Jane led the charge and organized the process for eleven other area Sorors to answer the call to service.  On October 28, 1967, Soror Jane’s dream became a reality and the Saginaw Alumnae Chapter was chartered.

Although Soror McGhee will be missed, her dedicated leadership, love and smile will forever remain in the archives of our dynamic sisterhood. Continue to keep Soror Janet, James Jr. and her family in your prayers.
