The Saginaw Alumnae Chapter (SAC) hosted its annual Thelma Poston Golf Classic (TPGC) Saturday, September 10, 8 a.m. at the Green Acres Golf Course, 7323 Dixie Highway, in Bridgeport. The event began with a shotgun kick off at 9 a.m.
“The Chapter’s TPGC Committee works very hard to make this major fundraiser a big success,” said Chapter President Lisa Ingram.
To honor one of SAC’s founding members for her many years of service and her association with local businesses, the Chapter’s golf tournament was named the Thelma Poston Golf Classic during SAC’s 40th Anniversary celebration.
Now in its 55th year, the Chapter awards approximately $6,000 annually in scholarship funds to local high school students with the golf tournament as one of its signature fundraisers.
