Charter Dears and Senior Citizens
Vision Statement – to provide an opportunity for sharing a wealth of education and providing healthy nourishment to our senior citizens in the greater Saginaw area. To coordinate a monthly visiting rotation for our Charter Members.
Senior Citizens
Target Audience – men and women, age 65 and above
Selection Process – each Soror can invite two individuals for a five-year period (individuals can be re-invited after each five-year cycle.
Program/Event – assist the invitees with completing “The Family Love Letter”.
Date – 2ndFriday in December of each year (professionals prefer to volunteer their services between Monday and Friday) – December 14, 2018
Location – St. Mary’s Hospital conference area
Year 1 – Attorney to discuss Living Wills and Trust
Year 2 – Hospice Services and My Liabilities/Credit Bureau to discuss titling and forgiveness
Year 3 – Insurance and Benefits/Life Insurance Agent to discuss final needs and Long-Term Care
Year 4 – Asset and Liabilities
Year 5 – Family History and Ethical Will/Genealogist to discuss documenting our history
Maximum guests (not including Sorors) – 120 (2 per Soror)
Charter Members
Each Soror is assigned a week to connect with our charter members by phone, visit, card, dining experience or small gift. The Chapter will host a luncheon for the charter members twice a year, all Sorors are welcome to attend. The chapter will cover the cost of the charter members’ meal.
