Saginaw Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship Application
The Saginaw Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is dedicated to empowering the academic aspirations of young individuals. We are committed to supporting students by providing the necessary financial resources to pursue their college education. Our scholarship program extends its aid to high school students attending public, private, or parochial high schools within Saginaw County.
To be considered eligible for this esteemed scholarship, applicants must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Our application for this year's scholarship is NOW CLOSED.
Application Requirements:
Submission of an official transcript
Two letters of recommendation (one from your school and another from a non-family member)
A one-page essay as requested
Completed application form
Evaluation Process: Applications will undergo a comprehensive evaluation based on the following criteria
Grade Point Average (GPA): A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.
Financial Need: Consideration will be given to applicants demonstrating financial need.
Letters of Recommendation: Evaluation of references provided by the school and a non-family member.
Extracurricular Activities/Leadership: Assessment of involvement in school, community, and leadership activities.
One-Page Essay: Review of the essay discussing reasons for pursuing higher education and how community service involvement has contributed to preparedness for college.
Applicants who have been selected will receive notification via email April 15th, 2024 at the address provided, detailing their individual award and instructions on how to claim it. The application is now closed.
